AllUnity to Launch Swiss Franc Stablecoin CHFAU in February

2026-02-04 - 07:15

AllUnity, a joint venture between DWS, Flow Traders and Galaxy, and a regulated e-money institute, has announced plans to launch a Swiss franc–denominated stablecoin called CHFAU. The initiative comes after a year of engagement with institutions and corporates. It reflects growing interest in a regulated digital version of the Swiss franc for payments, settlement, and treasury functions. After initial client discussions, AllUnity progressed the project from concept to launch readiness in around two months. AllUnity expects to launch the stablecoin in February, pending regulatory approval and operational readiness. The company will issue CHFAU according to its stablecoin standards of trust, transparency, and regulatory alignment. It will operate as a regulated electronic money token under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), allowing compliant issuance across the European Union. The stablecoin will fully back itself with eligible Swiss franc–denominated reserves and provide transparency through proof-of-reserves and regulatory reporting. It will support 24/7 cross-border settlements. Regulated financial institutions, treasuries, fintechs, and enterprise clients across Europe will be able to integrate directly with it. Alexander Höptner “Banks, corporates, and enterprise clients increasingly demand stable, programmable money that moves instantly, securely, and transparently, while operating within existing regulatory frameworks. AllUnity’s Swiss franc stablecoin is designed to meet that demand, providing a reliable foundation for institutional settlement, treasury operations, and on-chain liquidity,” said Alexander Höptner, CEO of AllUnity. The launch will expand AllUnity’s stablecoin portfolio alongside EURAU, the euro-backed stablecoin. It is also part of the company’s broader strategy to develop a multi-currency digital money framework with regulatory compliance at its core.
